YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
MAS DE MOUSQUETY
This truly magnificent yet wonderfully cozy 19th-century mas or farmhouse will be the center of our experiences. The mas is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Provence, just a short scenic drive east of Avignon and south of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Set within over 5 acres along the river Sorgue, you’ll have the freedom to wander through the grounds and simply relax, soaking in the serene atmosphere of this timeless retreat.

Hungry For Travel has thoughtfully curated a collection of activities and experiences that showcase the very best of the region, drawing on our deep expertise to ensure an unforgettable journey for every participant. We understand that some days you may just want to take off from activities. While we hope you will join us, we encourage you to "do you". All activities are optional.
Getting There
We will coordinate your transfer from and to any major French city to Avignon where the trip starts and ends. We will pass on the direct cost to you with no add-on fees. Or you can arrange your own transportation to/from the Avignon TGV station.
Changes to the itinerary may occur. In the event any experience listed should change due to matters beyond our control, it will be replaced with a similar quality experience.
WELCOME TO PROVENCE
Day 1
This afternoon, we will meet you at the Avignon TGV Train Station. From here we will travel to our beautiful French "mas" for the week. It is a 19th century, renovated farmhouse with all the comforts and then some. The mas is situated on the Sorgue river.
After getting settled, we will have a welcome reception in the courtyard and multi-coursed meal prepared by our private Michelin starred chef, paired with lovely wines of the region and presented by our personal sommelier.
L'ISLE SUR LA SORGUE
Day 2
Sunday is market day in L'Isle Sur La Sorgue. We will have a short tour to get our bearings. Then you will have the opportunity to browse food, art and antique vendors and find some lunch on your own. This quaint town will not disappoint!
This afternoon we will have some time to enjoy our accommodations and prepare for our first cooking class!
GIGONDAS
Day 3
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out to Gigondas, a charming town with stunning views of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The area is known for its many wineries. We will visit de Piéblanc for a tour, tasting and light lunch.
The afternoon will be up to you - a kayak trip down the river Sorgue, a bike ride, pool time, a mahjong game or resting under one of the many trees in a comfy hammock with a book!
This evening we will venture to the 100-year-old, Restaurant Philip
EN PLEIN AIR
Day 4
We will enjoy breakfast and then Chef Marie will teach us how to make traditional French breads and aromatized butters.
Next we will enjoy a water color workshop in our charming courtyard. Then lunch alfresco with wine. And some time to play boules, enjoy the pool, and continue drinking wine with newfound friends!
This evening we will enjoy our French bread along with other delicacies made by Chef Marie.
ST. REMY & AVIGNON
Day 5
After breakfast we will head to the town of St. Remy. Today is market day and the streets are filled with lovely shops. Enjoy some shopping time or time to sip a coffee and people watch. We will meet for a lovely lunch with some local rosé wine.
Back to our Mas to relax and freshen up before dinner in town at Le Petit Henri. They have a lovely courtyard we will enjoy, weather permitting.
ROUSSILLON
Day 6
Our last day of adventure will start in one of the most beautiful villages in France; Roussillon, best know for its distinctive red cliffs. We will anjoy a walking tour and some time to explore.
Next we will experience the lovely Relais & Chateaux, Le Phébus. There terrace is the perfect place for a salad Niçoise and
Rosé!
On our return we will stop at the Musée de la Lavande Luberon. A fantastic place to pick up some lavender gifts!
This evening Chef Marie will prepare an amazing coastal classic. A seafood feast with traditional aioli and fresh French bread.
CHATEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE
Day 7
After a decadent breakfast we will set off for Chateauneuf-Du-Pape. We will visit Domaine Du Vieux Lazaret, part of the Famille Quiot family of wines. We will not only sample their Châteauneuf-du-Pape red and white but we will sample wines from the other wineries owned by Quiot.
This evening we will enjoy a unique experience at the Michelin rated restaurant Solelh. Known for their modern take on traditional bistro recipes, the evening will be a special finale for our trip.
HEAD HOME OR EXTEND YOUR STAY
Day 8
Transportation to the Avignon TGV train station will be provided at 10am. Expected arrival time is 11:00am. Please plan your travel accordingly.
