My wife and I took a Vino Venue wine trip with another couple a few years ago.  It was our first trip with Venue Venue and it was so good, we have gone on 5 more trips since.  The small group that we traveled with have become longtime friends now and we l always enjoy running into them again at Vino Venue!   The trip itself was a very well planned combination of wine adventure, education food and fun.  Tasting the same wine from 5 different types of barrels at Pisoni gave us a real understanding how the winemaker uses oak to influence the final product.  From very well known winemakers to the very obscure we got to meet with the winemakers and people involved in the process close up and to taste and discuss the wines and how they are produced.  We ate at some very good spots, but the whole trip was not just food and wine.  We also had time to enjoy the Sonoma vibe - much cooler than Napa - and even managed a little souvenir shopping. I heartily recommend Vino Venue trips to anyone interested in expanding their wine horizons and generally having a great time in a beautiful place.

Loved it! Great balance of wine tasting, food and other experiences.

Mt. Etna 4 x4 jeep tour walking through the cave and the hike.  Jim and I would not have thought of doing this on our own and totally enjoyed it.  Gave us a chance to experience the outdoors.

We enjoyed all the wineries. The personal touch of being able to eat lunch with the winemaker and taste wine directly from the tap is something I will never forget.  Not sure where else this type of experience would have been arranged.

As with the food and experience at Fabio, the cooking class experience was outstanding.

First of all, your staff was always pleasant and worked extremely hard. They had many surprise demands from our group and they always handled them with a smile. The villa was spectacular, as you know. An extraordinary property. Beautiful views. The pool and hot tub were nice amenities. It was a convenient location for the tastings and touring. Wine tastings and dining venues were great experiences at lovely locations. Just beautiful. For us, the truffle hunting and cooking class was a highlight. Yum! Over all, a fantastic trip with old and new friends.

This was my fist trip with Vino Venue and it won’t be my last. I had a wonderful time. Rob was an excellent tour guide and I loved every experience – the visits to the wineries and the wonderful restaurants that were part of the tour. The Vino Venue Portugal trip was amazing…it just wasn’t about the wine/port making that made this an exciting adventure…it was great food, excellent guides, meeting nice people and the opportunity to experience Portugal’s history that we would never have seen on our own…we highly recommend this trip.

The oyster tour and picnic and Food Tour Guide were outstanding and a refreshing change of pace. The oysters were succulent, fresh and the whole picnic event was fun.  

The restaurants were all memorable and delicious choices.  Dinner time seems to be the best time for strangers to loosen their barriers and open up to new friendships.  As the trip progressed, we evolved into a fun-loving, thirsty gang sharing new experiences and flavors with smiling, ever- knowledgeable, joyful Debbie at the helm.
