We understand that some days you may just want to take off from activities. While we hope you will join us, we encourage you to "do you". All activities are optional.
Getting There
We will be happy to coordinate your transfer to the Livorno, Italy port where our ship will depart from and to the airport in Nice, France where we will end our journey.

Detailed Itinerary
Livorno, Italy
DAY 1
Departure 11:00 pm
Livorno, itself a child of the Renaissance, is the gateway to Tuscany – the land of cypresses, the Italian lifestyle, art and architecture.
Please be on board and check in no later than 6pm. Directions to the dock will be provided and transportation from the airport can be arranged. You may also leave your luggage at the ship while you explore Livorno.
After check-in, there will be ship announcements and a muster meeting. As a group we will meet for a welcome cocktail and get to know one another! Our group will be seated together all week for dinner unless you prefer to sit on your own.
Bastia, Corsica
DAY 2
Arrival 1:30 pm
Departure 7:00 pm
Once home of Napoléon Bonaparte, the island of Corsica is covered in aromatic shrubs and vegetation called macchia. This is why the island has been dubbed the "Scented" Isle.
Bastia radiates Mediterranean flair with a lively city center. Experience waterfront bars, and inviting cafés. It's the perfect place to slow down and experience the authentic charm of Corsica. Or take a private guided drive exploring the rugged, mountainous peninsula extending north of Bastia.
Today we will have a special wine tasting at a local wine shop in town. Corsica is known for the varietals of Nielluccio and Sciacarello. We will learn about Corsica's 2000 year history of wine making.
Then enjoy your afternoon in town. We will see you back on board for a 7:00pm departure and dinner.
Viareggio, Italy
DAY 3
Arrival 8:00 am

In the morning, we'll take a short drive to the Bolgheri wine region. There will be an exclusive vineyard tour and tasting of supertuscan wines.
In the afternoon experience the charming city of Lucca. In Giacomo Puccinis birthplace, you can stroll along the city walls in the shade of old plane trees. And in the almost car-free center, an opulent panorama of Roman alleys, churches and domes, wide squares and proud palaces opens up. Take a walking tour or sign up for a gelato tasting.
We will be back on board for a 7:00pm departure and a pre-dinner cocktail.
Portofino, Italy
DAY 4
Arrival 1:30 pm
Departure 11:00 pm
Portofino is a glamorous, upscale fishing village and resort located on the Ligurian coast. Take a city tour, wander the streets or grab a table at a waterside cafe and take in the megayachts.
This afternoon you'll roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class with a local chef. Using fresh regional ingredients, you'll prepare traditional Italian dishes while learning time-honored techniques, family recipes, and culinary traditions. And we will learn the art of making authentic Genovese pesto. Then, gather around the table to enjoy the delicious meal you've created together.
Since we do not sail until late this evening, after our class you can decide to hit a few of the lively bars or head back to the ship.
Day Under Full Sails
DAY 5
Today is all about sailing and taking in the magnificent views. Enjoy breakfast at your leisure. And then get to know the Sea Cloud Spirit. Check out the spa, and other public spaces.
This afternoon you will have time to relax in a deck chair and watch the passionate crew hoisting the sails by hand. If you want to help, the Captain will put you through a few tests to make sure you are seaworthy before sending you to the riggings! We will gather for dinner and enjoy some special wines.
Calvi, Corsica
DAY 6
Arrival 8:00 am
Departure 1:30 pm
We are headed back to Corsica. This time we will be on the western shore. Expolore Calvi's old town and take a walk on the long sand beach.
Then back to the ship by 1:30pm for a late lunch and our departure. Enjoy your afternoon. Perhaps check into the spa services or find a cozy cabana on the deck.
Tonight we will enjoy an all-out seafood feast for dinner!
Sanremo, Italy
DAY 7
Arrival 8:00 am
Departure 1:30 pm
Sanremo, Liguria is considered the center of the Riviera of Flowers. The hills surrounding it feature a microclimate with mild winters and cool summers, making it ideal for growing roses, carnations, and buttercups. This area produces a vast share of Italy's flowers. Take a tour of the sites or join a guided bicycle tour along the Pista Ciclabile, a car-free old railway line.
Back on board by 1:30pm. Enjoy a late lunch and free afternoon on the deck as we set sail and say goodbye to Italy.
Tonight will be our Gala Dinner and last night on board the Sea Cloud Spirit.
Nice, France
DAY 8
Arrival 8:00 am
Disembarkation begins 9:00 am
Enjoy your last breakfast on deck as we enter into Nice's harbor.
It's time to say goodbye to our group and the Sea Cloud Spirit.
If your schedule allows, we recommend at least one day in Nice after our sailing. And longer if possible. Explore the coastal Provencial towns of Antibes,
Villefranche-sur-Mer, Èze. We'd be happy to plan this add-on to your trip.
